In 2010, the roof of the dealership was covered with energy producing solar panels that produce enough electricity to run the entire faculty. When energy use is low and the sun is shining it actually produces excess electricity that is sold back to the utility company, saving money. These types of initiatives reduce our costs and give us the ability to pass those savings on to our customers. Furthermore, these efficiencies help reduce our dependence on fossil fuel consumption and make our planet a better place to live.This concept is consistent with our franchise partner, Mitsubishi Motors, vision of producing the most efficient "green" vehicles for both today and tomorrow. As for our leader, Steve Sewell, his history is a true example of the American Dream. He started his automobile career at the age of 19 as a salesperson in 1986, quickly rising through the ranks as a manager while working for organizations like the Ragsdale family of dealerships as well as Herb Chambers. After a successful journey, Steve launched his own new car dealership, Westboro Mitsubishi in 2003. In just a few years, Westboro Mitsubishi became the #1 volume Mitsubishi dealer in New England. Over the tough years of 2008 and 2009, while the rest of the industry was struggling, Steve continued to improve his results. In fact while other businesses were closing their doors, Steve unvieled the first satellite Mitsubishi dealership in the nation opening Worcester Mitsubishi in September 2010 on Park Avenue in Worcester, Ma. Steve is highly regarded not only by his happy customers and employees but also by his peers in the industry. Amongst Mitsubishi dealers, Steve holds the position of Northeast Regional President of the Dealer Association. He holds the prestigious position of Director of the Massachusetts State Automobile Dealers Association (MSADA). The MSADA works closely with like organizations, vendors and legislators, Including Senator Scott Brown, to help the voices of customers and dealers be heard for the best possible results for all. Business and personal success can often change a person, but not Steve Sewell whom stayed true to his family values and remains conscience of his humble beginnings. Steve presently is Chairman of the board of the "200 Foundation". This long standing charity has given out hundred of thousands of dollars over the years to help local groups and individuals who need a helping hand.
